If you do, do you like it there? My dad grew up there and said that is was the middle of no where, and that whenever there was a dust storm he couldn't use the "dunny" until it was over.

I want to know if people like living there these days and if you have indoor plumbing now.

I live in Canada so I have never been out to Broken Hill, so i have no clue.

  1. Lol, I live in Sydney. Can't imagine anyone from there answering this as I doubt the youth population there is high.

I would love to visit there one day though... it's in the outback, in far western NSW near the South Australian border. An old mining town I'm sure which has a lot to deliver in a good touring experience.

  2. Don't live there now, but I used to live not very far away, and yes, it has indoor plumbing, and although having had a bit of a downturn in recent years, the current mining boom is going to revivie Broken Hill again, so it is possible you'd find The Hill one day to be even more advanced than wherever you live now. :-) The  dust storms have lessened due to planting of vegetation around the city, though they do still occur, but it is a fascinating place to travel to, and much more interesting that merely "an old mining town" as the other answer said. TOurism included art tours, several famous artists have lived/wored there, and nearby is Silverton, a place used to film many Hollywood movies.
