What you say is true, no place is totally safe. I do though live on a more quite street than what I'm use to.

I thought we did ... but for some reason we have some hoodlems in our neighborhood that are determined to destroy our property. They have egged our pickup and have recently used white shoe polish to paint obsene pictures on the driver's side. Little do they know ... we have cameras

It use to be but now no way. We have junkies that live a couple houses down from us and in the summer we have rowdy teens that brake into cars and slash tires. I moved to the same neighborhood as I lived as a kid because i thought it was safe.

Not 100% safe area, though deemed to be peaceful and quiet. We've already got cases of break-ins by illegal immigrants before. And most stuffs they steal goes to the thieves' market.

Luckily our country is a firearms-free country, as of the public is never allowed to possess firearms. So somehow or rather, there's still safety. Just beware of dark lane muggers and snatch-thieves...

For women's safety, always get a male companion or go in groups, or be-friend with some decent locals...

My street is INCREDIBLY safe.

Yes our neighborhood is safe because we live next door to a jail administrator and a police officer less than a block away.

I live in a very safe neighborhood, however you need to always be alert and aware. But don't let it fear you to the point of worry without reason.

safety is a stat of mind if you feel safe you are most likely not and if you feel unsafe you most likely are... the times  now in these days are unsafe and you should lock your doors windows and yes get a big hungry dog, go to self defiance groups and learn how to keep you from harm.....

I agree that no place is truly safe.  We live in a rural area in "safe" neighborhood, and up until recently always felt very safe.  About 3 months ago our house was broken into and vandalized and many of our belongings were damaged or stolen.  Since then, the police have done little, and I have nightly panic attacks over every little noise.

Yeah, my street is very safe!  But as with everything, you have to take care of yourself.
