I'm just wondering b/c I am a white women dating a Hispanic male and we seem to be getting a lot of flack about it. I don't understand though, we are both educated, nice, intelligent people who try and treat everyone with respect. Why do people care?

  1. Don't worry too much.  I've been happily in an interracial marriage for 14 years now.  I'm white, she's Malay.  Either people stopped caring, or I stopped noticing.  Rarely do I see anyone looking twice at us now (it was really bad at the beginning, though).  We've also adjusted to live in an area where it's more likely to be accepted, and the schools have a wide mix if kids...

So, the key isn't that others care or don't.  The key is that you not care...

  2. Why do you care that people care?

I personally could give a rats a** whose dating who

    Thats just me

  3. I honestly don't know why people care. What you do is your own business. People have stereotypes of other races and I some people think that we were put in different parts of the world for a reason. If god really wanted to separate us, well he wouldn't have given us the ability to think or travel, right? People like to think that one race is inferior to another, truth is we're all human.

  4. i don't look down on it, nor do i care. i think for someone to behave negatively towards a situation like that exposes thier ignorance, andwho cares what stupid people think?

  5. I wouldnt do it but my daughter did. She married a Mexican. Your parents might be concerned...Is he illegal? That cuases alot of probs..
