Do you lose downloaded games if you delete your gamertag?

I am planning to sell my 360 and i don't want the buyer to use my gamertag. If i was to wipe the 360 hard drive clean and get a new 360 in the future, would all the games I have downloaded (like UNO or Braid) be gone? Would I have to buy them again?

  1. nah because when you delet your profile it asks you if you want to delete profile and items or just the profile!!!

  2. Downloaded games from Xbox Live have what is called digital rights management (DRM).  This prevents them from being distributed, but also can be a hassle for situations like your own.  Before you sell your 360, you can transfer your digital licenses from your 360 to the Xbox site (see link below).  After you get a new 360, you can download those licenses from the site to your 360's HDD.

However, I do not know how long they will remain on the site (retention period).  I would suggest looking at this: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/system...

  3. i think so because you have them stored on that specific Hard Drive
