Do you lose your "eye" teeth??

I'm 14 almost 15 and i haven't lost my "eye" teeth yet.could i just not have any adult ones and that is why i didn't lose my baby ones?

  1. It is possible.  But I would say not likely.  These teeth are usually not congenitally missing.  Also it should be noted that canines usually erupt into the mouth around age 12-13 years.

    It is also possible that your canines are impacted and are having trouble making their way in.  If the "eye" teeth or canine teeth and angled incorrectly, they can be hung up on the neighbouring teeth.  The best way to tell is to get a Panoramic X-ray taken.  That will tell you if the adult canines are there, and what their angulation looks like.


  2. The only teeth you don't "lose" are your wisdom teeth. Some people can keep them in their mouth (like my dad), or never get them at all (like my mom). All other teeth will eventually fall out and be replaced by new ones.
