P.S. Personally I think he's Hugely underrated, can you believe he's only payed 900k a year?

Just for the record -- Mike (Avs Fans), I didn't bring this question to the board.

I would love to go back to the questions from November and December and see the ratio of fans-to-detractors.  Now, I am not suggesting that Ozzie has had a difficult playoff compared to other goalies - ha hasn't.  I am not suggesting that everyone pencil him in for their Hall of Fame vote - they won't.  I am saying that he led the league in GAA in the regular season, had a great record, and with a GAA under 2 in the playoffs and a 10-2 record, AND his record over the last three years, AND his overall record, it's about time people started to realize this "kid" does his job pretty damned well.

osgood is AWESOME! he changed his game as he got older adjusted to the "NEW" nhl. amazing.

he signed a new 3 year contract in jan 08 for 1.5 mil a year. still a good deal for the wings. but this is the only place he wants to play.

First off...this year, Osgood was anything but underrated. If anything he was a bit Overrated.

But secondly....If it weren't for Ozzie, we wouldn't be this far. And as for your Q...I FREAKING LOVE CHRIS OSGOOD!!!!

Yes i can.  Thats why i hate the redwings so much.  The entire team is under paid, but because they are treated so well they are willing to take the possible pay cuts to fit in under the salary cap.  Its good that a team and the owner ship are both loyal to each other, but it sucks that its one of the teams i hate most.

his 100th playoff game...unbelievable. he still has a couple years in him, and did you see him rob ribeiro on the one on one late in the 3rd, and then rob another stars player and pass the puck ala marty turco. man oh man.

OZZY,OZZY,OZZY,OZZY oh wait not in the joe, best goalie in nhl history to be treated like a throw away.refured to as a "back up" goalie but last i checked hes won the stanley cup.

he is very consistent too. He wont ever have a bad game....some of his games he will play tramendous and others decent but he is a very good goaltender...in the playoffs his SV% hasnt been under .850 and he hasnt let in any more than 3 goals....that kind of stuff shouldnt go unoticed, and he is hugely underrated.
