Question:

Do you love your child like this?

We have a 4-month old son now, and he's so precious that nothing could have shown us the little wonders of each new day, like he does. Do all parents feel this treasure? Why isn't having children the ONLY pastime nowadays, as it brings such fantastic, ineffable rewards?

  1. Your son is one lucky little boy.....and yes, I do believe that most parents feel this way.

As far as the only pastime.....it seems to be a new "fad" to have a baby at 14, 15, etc......teen pregnancy is occurring at alarming rates.

  2. I was shocked by how intense my love is for my little boy.  I obviously knew I would love him but it is so different than the love I feel for my parents, family and husband.  I just can't get enough of him.  Even when he is throwing tantrums (which is not cute), I can't imagine being without him.  He has only been on this planet for 9 months and I can't remember living my life without him.

  3. It's hard to place words on the love that another life can open within our own hearts. Having to give at such a deep level is a transformational  experience, that it sounds like you are both reveling in, and that your son is benefiting by. I love hearing about good parents.

As you grow with your son, both the gift and challenge will be to maintain that level of unconditional love at every age, in every experience. Love one another as deeply, make the other's life worth living each and every day, and your son will receive immunity to the hard edge of life's inevitable trials. Congratulations!!!!!!!

  4. yes i love my 7 month old daughter like this and when my triplets are born i will love them like this, but unfortunetly there are some parents who just dont like there kids like my father he left when i was 3 last i talked to him i was 5 he called for my older siblings 13 bday but for me i turn on the tv to see he has been arrested for hitting a cop who asked him to pick up the empty bag of chips he left on the ground. srry got off topic there,  my point is not all parents love their kids, and it sux camel d**k! :) hope i answered your question!

  5. Yes, I think all new parents feel like that - or at least they should.

  6. Omg I totally agree. I have two girls (one of whom I adopted to be my daughter, but was originally my step daughter), and I love them more than anything in the whole world. They are the most incredible, loving little girls, and I would move mountains for my babies. I'm also pregnant, and I already love this baby just as much at my other little ones. I'm so lucky to have them :)

  7. i could not believe how much i could love someone until i had my son he is my whole life. i love being a mom.
