  1. Well, you get money for working. I don't think you would have to pay for the gas, because pizza delivery people generally drive company cars for delivery. Some people could give you tips, but don't expect more than a few dollars on average.

  2. Yes, a good amount of money can be made delivering pizzas.  I have never delivered pizzas, but a friend of mine did so a few years ago, and he sometimes made four or five hundred per week, working part time.

  3. It depends on the company and your location.  Most places pay an average of around $6-$7/hr plus tips and commission if you use your own vehicle.  I think the average commission rate is fifty cents per delivery, but again, all locations are different.  The way gas prices are today, I wouldn't want to do it.  Also it's a lot of wear and tear on your vehicle.  It also will drive your insurance rates up since you're using your personal vehicle for work.  I worked at Dominos not long after high school, and if they slowed down, they would start sending people home early.  Sometime, I wouldn't work but two hours, so it was a waste of time for me.

These are just some of the cons.  If you want driving job like this, I would suggest a place that you don't have to use your own car.   I  suggest driving a cab if you just want to make money on the side.  It may sound dangerous, but pizza delivery isn't the safest job in the world either.

  4. i had a friend who made 1000 per week

  5. It depends. On weekends the money is better because you are busier. What most people don't know is that drivers do a lot more than deliver. In most pizza places the drivers are also the dishwashers, pizza cutters, floor moppers, and order takers. You only spend about half of your time delivering pizza.

Its not all bad though. On a good night you can make $60 -$80 in tips. There are also nights when you won't make enough to pay for your fuel. Also be prepared to get cussed at over and over again.

Be careful. In the US pizza drivers are the 3rd most likely to be murdered on the job.
