Do you make your husbands/wifes lunch?

My fiance has just started a new job, and I have started packing a lunch for him every day, either the night before or the morning of, so that he has something healthy to eat while at work. I don't mind doing it, because it is usually just cutting up veggies or fruit and making sandwiches or quesadillas, and it makes him feel really special. Does anyone out there do this for their spouse/partner? Or do you have some other special daily or semi daily ritual that is important to you?

  1. Wow! I would love to have a wife like that!!! That would make me work even more harder at a tough job!  To built a big beautiful house! But unfortunately my wife has never packed lunch for me! So I no longer work hard for her!  Thats why I have her in a little crappy house!

  2. Yes. We work at the same place and he takes lunch 3-4pm and I come in to work at 3:30 so i cook a hot meal and go to work at 3. We eat lunch together in the breakroom at work, and i eat the leftovers for my dinner break. Its very nice to sit down with him for a few minutes before i start my day because he's up and out in the mornings with just a good bye kiss while im still groggy in the bed.

  3. Yes I have been making my husband lunch for about 20 years and he think that he is special because even after I when to work I still take the time out to make his lunch and put things in there that he might not get for himself.

  4. Yes I make my husband lunch and dinner.  He's a busy grad student with little time to spare.

  5. My husband is such a wonderful person.

He cooks dinners every night of the week, makes all our lunches for the next day and I even get breakfast made for me frequently.

He enjoys doing it.. so why upset the apple cart... :)

  6. Yes I make my husband 3 meals a day.

  7. Yes, I do. Sometimes he tells me not to make him anything because he won't have time to eat. He works as a correctional officer at a prison so he barley gets time to himself.

  8. everyday i pack my man lunch and make him breakfast every morning

  9. Yes . My husband and I both are software engineers and we both got to go for work . But my husband's working hours are more and he also works in weekends so i daily cook breakfast for him 6:30 a.m. in the morning and pack his lunch and mine lunch box and every night i also cook dinner for both of us.

  10. I have done this every day for over 15 years and will continue to do so as long as we are married. I love this and I ALWAYS include a small love note.

  11. i make my hubby lunch everyday. sometimes even breakfast and his snack . i basically pack his lunch bag everyday. hubby hates eating outside so we are always cooking at home . the guy barely knows any restaurant , besides the one i showed him . anyway i do it out of love and when i cant he does for himself .

used to make both of ours until i started staying home .

  12. I make his breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. He in turns does all the dishes, rubs my back and lets me buy whatever I want.

  13. I do not work outside the house at the moment, so it I consider it MY JOB to do the cooking, cleaning, and all the rest of what a "homemaker" does.

I admire all of you ladies who still pack meals for their husbands even though you also work outside the house - that is very very sweet of you to care that much about what they eat.

  14. I absolutely love making lunches for my man. I like to surprise him with his favorites and I always change it up a bit so he's not taking the same meal. I asked mine to make me a list of some of the things he'd love to eat during lunch and I make those as well as other things I know he enjoys.. I also throw in a surprise like some home made cookies, muffins, or even a bag of his favorite chips. I like the idea of notes in the lunch sometimes (maybe a sweet I <3 U message) but I think the one answer went a little too far with panties. That's sexual and hot, sure, but if you work where my man works it definitely would've been embarrasing. He eats lunch with both male & female coworkers as well as his boss and I don't think he would've appreciated me doing that very much LOL.

  15. Yes i have always made my husbands lunch for work the next day.

I make it the night before.

  16. My husband travels to various job sites - some have cafeterias, some don't.  Each week, I ask where he will be the next week - and if he doesn't have a cafeteria I shop for and pack his lunches.  Our ritual is just talking.  Every day after work, we just sit down, relax and talk about our days.  Its very subdued, no pressure, just a 'glad we're home now' type of thing.  We do this every M-F, before rushing to make dinner, take care of errands, etc.

  17. i always have his lunch ready to go in the morning. no need for him to go hungry, or try to get stuff together for himself...he isnt really a morning person anyway, i just make things a bit easier for him!

  18. My husband works from home so no I do not pack his lunch. I will however bring him some healthy smoothie down to his office (or have one of the kids bring it to him) when I make them.

It's sweet that you do that for him.

I do enjoy having my morning cup of coffee with my husband. Even if we just sit silently next to each other sipping and waking up. I like this as one of our special moments of a crazy day.

  19. I always plan meals with leftovers and make up a plate for him to take to work the next day. He usually packs his lunchbox, but I leave everything in a special spot in the fridge for him.

  20. I make his breakfast lunch and dinner. He doesn't want ot do anything in the house but will do everything outside. Sometimes when I am sick, he will cook for me but that isn't often.

  21. My boyfriend is a police officer and works the 3 to 11 shift.  Before I leave for work in the morning I put together a dinner for him to take to work, so that he has a real meal for work and nt just what he can pick up in town.

  22. Yes, and my husband has a job that is oncall so that means it may be 3 a.m. or noon or night.....

but I love doing this for him cause he goes to work and works hard at his job so we can have a nice home.

I like to put notes in his lunch box and cards Ive bought or made.  Once I put a pair of my panties in there and he came home so romantic with roses!

Be creative and enjoy your fiance.  Some day he will be your husband and you will find no matter how much you love and appreciate each other you have to work at being creative to keep your love alive and interesting and not routine.  There is so many thing s  out there now and working against marriage that we can never take our partners for granted!

    Have fun!!
