  1. I think Reagan was a  great man. Some of the music was great, but the fashion was awful!!!

  2. i do not miss the 80s at all im glad its 2008 its to old for me. out od style. oh my gooood maaaaan

  3. I was born in 1980, so my memories of the 80's are of being a little kid, so of course i thought it was a blast. But as i got older and more political, i'm not sure i would want to go back there, i'm not a fan of Reagan. I think "Just Say No" was a huge joke, and the crack phenomena was a mostly racist, overblown issue. I know i'm just picking and choosing issues here, but overall i'm not a fan of went on politically.

But i think the music was great, it definitely has a distinct sound. The fashion was crazy and makes the trends of  mid 90's to now pretty dull.

  4. What do I miss?  MTV when it only played music videos.  Dance clubs that DIDN'T play rap and hip-hop.  The whole Urban Cowboy thing.  Ratting my hair and dyeing it strange colors.  Leggings (just kidding).  Cuffing my baggy Docker's super tight at the ankles, and leaving my oversised shirt untucked.  Indiana Jones' Fedora's.  Michael Jackson before he became a known child molester.  Hundreds of plastic o-rings for bracelets.  Strawberry lip smacker.  Getting paid $5.00/hr and thinking that was good  money.

Mainly, I miss being young (not that I'm terribly old now) and having no worries.

  5. Yes had good memories ,did allot of crazy stuff.I would do it all over again. And I liked the music .I can't stand most of the music now they play if you can call that music. We me and my bf thought of open a restaurant / dance with 70/80's music.Because there is allot for younger adults to dance but nothing for the 40-50 year old ones. And it would be cool if you could eat and dance in the same place.Older people like to have fun.lol

  6. music, they way you could just hang out, make your restaurant so people can hang out, i don't want a waiter every 5 seconds talking to me, have a switch i can turn on if i need some help.

  7. I do miss the 80's. That would be a major market to go after as far as a restaraunt goes. The thing I miss the most about that decade was being able to go out into the nieghborhood and find other kids to play with. Nowdays you cant do that because they are all on the darn computer. Remember the big hair bands? Wow! Blast from the past. Thanks for bringing up a good decade in my life. I liked the 80's cafe from Back to the Future movie, but I couldnt stand Max Headroom. You could have Michael Jackson reading the kids menu on a tv. LOL

  8. Wow.. I know you're in the US but I'm very sure your restaurant will be a success. It will be a big hit and will be patronized by people who find memories in the 80's a comfort zone.. when life was so fun and things were a lot less complicated.
