spanky gimmick was a joke and the only reason creative did it was to get kendrick recognition. now kendrick is a real superstar, a singles superstar. not to take away from the london/kendrick team but they were midcard at best. now kendrick is in the championship scramble for the wwe title at unforgiven and people know who he is because of the spanky storyline. now he wont come out the final winner of the title but due to match rules he can win the title during the match but i dont see him hanging on to it to long if he does probably losing it minutes later to khali, who is the worst wrestler in history if i might add. but in order for a small guy like kendrick to gain popularity and move up in the card you need to move away from the joke characters. almost like the hurricane, he won some tag team gold but it wasnt until he moved away from his joke of a character going to heel gregory helms and wrapping gold cruiserweight gold around his waist and being the longest reigning champ in sd history
