  1. Not at all.  If your a slight small fellow you have your place on the rugby field.  If you're a giant mountain of a man then you'll do fine as well.  It's all about where on the field you play.  And remember everyone falls down the same when you tackle low.

  2. if you want to survive...              yes

  3. There are positions for all sizes but it helps to be strong obviously.

Unless you are English then stick to cricket and croquet thats much more your national game.hehhehe Suits your sensitive constitutions.

  4. No... the greatest thing about Rugby is that everyone can play.  All sizes and shapes have a place.

If you are big and slow... GREAT.

If you are small and fast... GREAT.

If you are big AND fast... FANTASTIC.

If you are small and slow..... you better be really smart!

  5. Well for your own safety you should have some bulk.  Doesnt matter too much if you are not tall as scrum halfs are traditionally quite small.  The most important thing is you have to be VERY fit and able not only to take a big hit, but tackle too.  If you are small it would also help if you are very very fast.
