Question:

Do you need UV rays to get a tan?

I've been tanning for years, but never could get the color that I want. I've spent days at theme parks, that are extremely hot, and the most tanned I get is a sun burn on my nose. How should I go about it differently? I really need to get some color. PLEASE HELP!

By the way I don't use a lot of sunblock, and when I do its the lowest amount of UV protection.

And yes I've tried tanning salons and mystic tanning, my skin doesn't hold the tan that long, and it goes away. So I don't want to waste my money. I'd rather get a natural tan.

  1. no

    UV = stimulates darker pigment

    artificial tan = paint over

    you might be naturally fair as in you dont produce much pigment
