Question:

Do you need Workers Compensation Insurance for S-Corp?

I own a S-Corp in NJ and work as an IT consultant in NY. I just received a letter from State of NJ stating I will be fined thousands of dollars for not having workers compensation insurance. I was never told by my accountant that I needed this insurance. I don't have any employees. I'm wondering if there are some type of businesses where this insurance is not needed. Please Help!
