  1. yes u do

  2. Yes, it is a foreign country.

  3. Yes, US citizens need a passport to fly to the Bahamas.

If you are on a cruise and leave from a US port and return to a US port no passport needed. HOWEVER, some cruise lines are requiring a passport. Best to call the cruiselines and find out what their requirements are.

    Good Luck)

  4. You need a passport to ENTER the U.S. by air or sea... if you go to the Bahamas, just HOW Do you plan to re-enter the U.S. by a means other than Air or Sea?  AND... the Bahamians require a passport to enter there, too.

  5. The answer above me is correct.  You MUST have a passport to go by Flying or sea travel to get back into the US.  When I was in PR for my cruise comming back to PR we went through customs and they made us show our passports.  We had to have one to even go on the cruise.  You can't get back into the US from the Caribbean without a passport.

  6. You must have a passort to FLY to the Bahamas.  Passports are not yet required for SEA travel by law (see site below), but many cruise lines want all passengers to have passports, so if you are taking a cruise you need to ask you cruise line their policy.
