  1. You can play professional regardless of your education if you're good enough.  You dont have to be a college grad to be a PGA golf professional, but there is an accelerated program for those who are.


  2. No college degree is needed, but also need to consider what you are going to do after golf.  

    Most teaching pros are seasonal, or travel all over the place to work many locations per year.  The PGA has rules to be a pro, including courses to pass.  

    A playing pro needs to qualify to play to earn money.  Talent + practice + experience.  College gives them more time and experience to learn and improve their games, without as much risk of failing.

  3. No, but you have to be good enough to maintain a steady handicap, and shoot below par regularly. And have a low handicap.

  4. No, but there is a lot more involved than just being a really good golfer. Written exams,etc.
