Do you need a coupon to use your six flags season pass at other parks?

I've purchased a season pass from Laronde in Montreal and I noticed there was a coupon that says "FREE ADMISSION at another Six Flags". I want to go to Great Escape with a friend who doesn't have a season pass. So my question is, can I use this coupon for my friend? Or can I only use it on myself? Do I even need a coupon to go to another six flags? I'm thinking I only need the season pass.

I'm from the US and I never needed a coupon for another six flags, just my pass.  Your pass is good at Great Escape and the coupon can be used for a friend.
