Do you need a degree to become a spiritual teacher?

I always thought so, My gf says she doesn't need one. Will anyone take her seriously if she doesn't have a degree?

No my my guy you don't need any degree to become a spiritual teacher, what you need to do is to, read your bible and meditate on it so that you get closer to God. because the only way you can become a spiritual  teacher is by reading of bible and also by prayer. because the people of old did not use degree before the became one.

e.g. people like Elijah, Peter , John etc

No religious counselors do not need degrees. It all depends on what specific field she wishes to work.

Today, advanced education is the entre' to professional work. Without these credentials, you come across as unpolished and ignorant.

Some denominations have no entrance reqts for seminary, eg, Assy of God. That is a recipe for failure. That denomination is rampant with charlatans, scandals, and money hungry pastors.
