  1. No, a distribution block is used when there is more than 1 amp being used.


  2. Not really. The only reason that you would need one with one amp is if you had to step down the wire size. Say .. from 4 gauge to 8 gauge.  

  3. The dist block will aid in the install of the cap. But no, you don't need one, it is just an easy and clean way to split power from one large wire to multiple smaller wires. The smaller wires being multiple amps or in your case a cap for the amp.
