What can one expect on the court date and after and should you get a lawyer? I'm trying to get information, but I don't know where to start. I live in California and any information would help. Thanks.

  1. You can always opt not to have an attorney, but in the long run having an attorney is an option you likely will not regret as they know the law and are more likely to get you a better deal.  Don't be cheap for the short run!  It's better to pay now than have a bad outcome without a lawyer.

  2. Actually contrary to what many people think a lawyer with a drunk a disorderly charge is not the best person to represent you in court. Try finding one with lesser convictions

  3. yes you need a lawyer if you want to not be convicted.call legal aid in your city
