  1. yes

  2. If you are cruising the Caribbean or Alaska and Canada the answer is no. You will need a passport if your are going to Cruise anywhere else in the world.  Starting June 1, 2009 you will need a passport to travel everywhere outside the US.

If you had used a good travel agent they would have answered this question for you when you made the booking.

    Enjoy your cruise.

  3. You should go ahead and apply for your passport, though its not *strictly* necessary to have one for sea travel to the Bahamas. At this time, you are required to have a government-issued photo ID and documentation of your US citizenship. Starting in the summer of 2009, a passport will be required for travel to the Bahamas and other Caribbean destinations.

Don't worry about having waited too long to apply, the turnaround on my boyfriend's passport was only about 3 weeks, and he applied for it in mid-June. We're cruising RCI in August, and are really looking forward to the trip. I hope you have a great trip too!

  4. Yes!  Apply now to make sure you get your passport before you leave!

  5. You need a passport for any cruise. Anytime you disembark form a ship, you've been outside the United States, thus requiring a passport. Sept. is fast approaching. You need to apply for your passport yesterday, if not sooner. It would be in your best interest to pay the extra fee to have your application expedited. You can apply either at the Post Office or at the county Clerk of Court.

  6. You will need either a passport or a birth certificate. If you do not have your birth certificate handy then go to your city's homepage and look under vital statistics..or call your local county courthouse and ask for the vital statistics offices. Most cities have an office nearby where you can go in, pay cash or credit, and receive your birth certificate for approx. $20 within ten minutes flat.

    Hope this helps! Have fun!
