  1. no but you do need your birth certificate.

or an enhanced valid driver's license

the passport only requirements was delayed until 2009

  2. yes, after 911 you need it for everywhere

  3. YES passports 4 all

  4. yeah. sorry but they have become so strict.

  5. You dont need a passport just yet, but you will need to bring photo ID and a birth certificate. They are really strict about it lately since the requirement of passports is just around the corner. Have fun shopping!

  6. I thought not, that was only if traveling by air or boat.   I know I can go to mexico (drive) with my license

  7. yup you all need passports

    sucks, huh?

youllneed passports any time when leaving the united states:

canada, mexico, bahamas, stuff like that

  8. From the US side, you need a passport to come and go. Don't know what the Canadian gvt has for rules, though.

  9. To travel between Canada and the U.S.  by LAND you need a proof of citizenship...birth certificate OR passport.  American minors under 18 ,travelling with someone other than their parents must have letters of permission.  I cannot find documentation that this is also true for Canadian minors, but I believe it would be a wise idea.
