Do you need a passport to fly from England (Bristol) to Glasgow?

If so how long will it take to renew a passport?

No you dont but you will need positive photo ID. This can be an identity card if you are not a UK national or a Drivers licence with photo on it.

We needed our passports when travelling from Edinburgh to Birmingham.

Your best bet is to check with the airline you are using, some want passports, even for flying within the UK, and some accept valid forms of photographic ID (driving licence, Government ID, Company ID)
