  1. In theory you shouldn't need one to fly to Belfast but you would need one to get back into the country again.. but with all the hightened security that could of changed, best to check with your airline


  2. No;  I fly from Belfast Int'l to London Luton and back [often]

    They ask for valid photographic ID [Drivers license] you can use your passport if you want but photographic ID is fine because it is classed as a 'Domestic Flight'

  3. Officially you do not need a passport to travel to Northern Ireland.

    However you do need an officially acceptable photo ID card to travel.

    In most cases a photocard driving license is enough.

    Please check with the airport and airline before you indend to travel.

  6. depends....if you are a European Citizen any form of photo ID is enough. To fly within Europe you need only a valid, for at least six months after the departure, photo ID be it a university card, driving licence ett not necessarily a passport

    Normally the airlines mention the ID they accept when you book so check what it says.

    Other forms of photo ID are normally accepted.

  10. i have flown back and forth to Belfast a number of times. twice without a passport. all u need is photographic id. IE a drivers license or a student id which is valid and supported by the isc (international student council)

  24. The law is, that you don't, it was generally the same for the republic. Until most airlines started using a very strict photo ID policy after 9/11. So you will need a photo ID for the airport ie Drivers licence or Passport.
