Do you need a passport to fly to canada?

My husband is a greencard holder, I'm a citizen. Does he need a passport to fly there? Do I ?

You both need a passport to fly to Canada. He needs his birth country passport and green card to get back into the USA and his passport to get into Canada.

anyone that is flying to Canada needs a passport........a US green card means nothing in Canada

Both usa and canada is situated in north america .But canada is a freedom country and they have their own nationalities.so you need a passport to fly canada from usa .it doesn't matter if you have a green card or not.so, it's simple.Just get passport and fly to canada.
