  1. You will not be allowed on the plane without a passport...no exceptions.  Your passport will Not be stamped...they don't do that.  you will get a tourist card good for 180 days on the plane.  It costs about $22.00 USD.  See website below for all passport info.  Takes 8 to 10 weeks to get a passport at regular rate,  or about 3 weeks  if you pay the extra fee to have it  expedited.  Does not matter what area of Mexico you are travelling to.

  2. Yes you need a passport to go to Mexico from US.  No, you do not need a stamp.

  3. not unless you plan to come back. if you are a us citizen/resident, you'll need to get your us passport BEFORE you go.  if you're only going for a few days/weeks, you only need a tourist visa. most airlines provide the forms once you're on the plane. have fun!

  4. Yes, for your own security reason, in case your somehow got arrest in mexico, you need to show them proof.

  5. im not sure if you can get a passport when you are there because im pretty sure that you have to have a passport to leave the country. its some new law they came out with this year

  6. If you're comming from the states, you need one BEFORE  you leave, FROM  the U.S.  !  They will stamp it  down there.

  7. You will need a passport to come back into the USA. The passport must be from your country of residence. Assuming that you are from the USA, it will have to be an American issued passport.
