  1. What is a "nowhere cruise?" A cruise that sits in port and goes nowhere?  passports are not needed for cruises now.  Some cruise lines want you to have a passport...call and ask their policy.

  2. Next June (2009)  you WILL need a passport to travel.  Now I believe you need a Photo ID and your birth certificate with you.

That said; i would Suggest you FIRST call the cruise line. They will tell you what documents you need to bring with you to board the ship.

  3. Normallly no, but June 1, 2009 you will!

  4. I am going to say no but check with the cruise line for sure.  You will need drivers license or a govt issued id. Staring next June you will need one for sure.

  5. I am an owner of a Michigan based Travel Agency. It is not requried on the CTN. Depending on the port location, a CTN may request passports in case the ship needs to divert. However, since the closest foreign port is hundreds of miles away, they do not require it for the CTN the QM2 is sailing. Their other cruises require it and therefore all of their printed materials, brochures, etc say that it is required.

Technically, you don't need a passport for any cruise that is in North America... a WHTI-compliant document is sufficiant. See http://travel.state.gov/passport/ppt_car...

Book your card thru www.AntonCruises.com and we will pay for your passport fee.
