  1. No not atll. Just make sure you have a state issued ID or a drivers license ar any form of ID which is excepted by the airlines for you to travel. While leaving the virgin Islands you will have to pass through immigration so make sure you your ID there again.

  2. USVI is a territory of the USA. If you are traveling directly to St. Thomas, St Croix or St. John - then no.

If you are connecting thru Jamaica or Mexico - then yes.

  3. No.  Hence the first part, U.S.  That means United States and you do not need a passport.

  4. No.  It helps to have one to get back in (only in so far as it speeds things up).

Reality Check is giving you some very bad junk info.  OK, suppose there were 27 murders in St. Thomas.  There must be at least 20 million visitors who go there, and nearly NONE of the murders involve, in any way, the tourists.  His example of Natalie, down in Aruba, is 1 out of, what, 100 million visitors to the Bahamas???

This very, VERY low murder rate in 99.999% of the cases involve the native on native country, and is actually FAR LESS than almost any community, city, or state in America.  Don't be fooled by his HIGHLY misleading answer.  The Bahamian people are among the most friendly people on EARTH.

GO, you'll it's beautiful; you'll love it; and it's SAFE.

  5. yes because when you fly there you fly through bahamas and turks and caicos

  6. Yes, you DO need a passport. You can go to the post office and apply for one there, I was told about 5 weeks to get mine.

  7. No....but you WILL need state issued ID if an adult or birth certificate if under 18 to return.

  8. reality check, 45 homicides its a weekend in Puerto Rico

  9. contact the US Passport Office to be sure...

  10. If you are not a U.S. Citizen, then you need the same thing that you used to get into the contiguous USA.

If you are a U.S. Citizen, then you do not need one because it is part of the USA. That would be like asking, do I need a passport to go from Texas to Louisiana.

For Stallion ma, I disagree. The United States of Méxicanos which you know as Mexico is not part of the United States of America.

This is my help from Washington, D.C. United States of America.

  11. Not as long as you don't make any stops outside the country before stoping in the USVI.  If you are a US citizen and are only going from one US territory to another, you do not need a passport. However, if you stop anywhere in between that is not US territory, then you will need a passport. Have a good time.  USVI are a fun place to visit. If you enjoy snorkeling or diving, you will want to try it there. They have the most beautiful fish I have ever seen, and so many of them. I try to go there as often as possible.

  12. no cause its a territory of the states

  13. any country that has U.S in front of the name belongs to the United States so ther for u dont need a passport no matter wher ur coming from thats our island and we can go ther with no problem unless your not a U.S citizen

  14. No, you do not need a passport, OR your birth certificate.  When you go to the U.S. Virgin Islands, you are not leaving the U.S.   Other answerer is confused...why on earth she says you need a birth certificate to "get BACK into to the United States" is beyond me..you will not have left the U.S.

  15. No its part of the United States.

  16. The USVI are territories of the USA, no passport needed. However, you will need a valid photo ID and your original birth certificate to get back into the USA.
