  1. If you are a US citizen, no you do not.

  2. No, but with the situation today, maybe it would be a good idea to carry a passport.

  3. No. My Husband just left yesterday. At first, we thought that he would need one to return but he has a co-worker that flies back and forth from Florida to San Juan Puerto Rico and does not require one for entering Puerto Rico or returning to Florida. This is from a reputable employer. The only advice we received was not to rent cars, the Best Western has the smallest television he has ever seen in a hotel, and rooms are not the normal we are used to here in the US. I have attached a website that should provide you with any additional information you require.

  4. I hope not.  But the other day I bought a ticket for my

child and Delta airlines kept on insisting to me

that P.R was an international flight that I would

a whole bunch of paperwork to get him a passport

I was @ awe at the situation because in reality,

    I wasn't sure ( I know it sounds bad ) but I really

    didn't know .

  5. You don't need one if you're a US citizen. Puerto Rico is a

    territory of the United States.

  6. Forgive me if I'm wrong but while you may not need a passport to go to Puerto Rico you will certainly need one to get back home.  Wasn't that what all the fuss was about last summer when the US state department had to call in help from their outside posts to help them with the overload of passport applications???

  7. I have heard, again I cannot confirm as of yet, that within a couple of months that sort of thing is going to change. Meaning, that to go to Puerto Rico even to the US VI you will have to get a passports for security reasons I think.

  8. not at all.. i used to go with my family and we never needed passports at all... hope u have fun

  9. If you are a U.S. citizen all you need is a picture ID from your state.

Just returned 2 days ago from Puerto Rico to California. All I had was my California Driver's License.

And don't listen to a lot of nonsense here. I rented a real nice car with my credit card and stayed in several nice hotels, it all depends on how much you can afford.

  10. Just go back from P.R., I travel from Florida and back, and did not need any passport, just a photo  I.D. , a driver`s License will do.  And P.R.  is not a territory of the U.S.A., but a common wealth.

  11. Flights from other US territory to Puerto Rico are "domestic" travel and a passport is not required - only government-issued photo ID like for all flights.

Flights from other countries to Puerto Rico are "international" travel and a passport IS required, including for US citizens.
