If you don't live in Spain then yes, although if you live in the parts of Europe that have ID cards they are acceptable as well.

Since you're using English I assume you're British or American so you will definitely require a passport.

You need a passport from the country you were born in - is that the UK because you need passport to fly from Scotland to England because of security reasons.
