Do you need a ticket to mickeys halloween event in order to stay in the park

i plan to go to disneyland during halloween time, but i want to know if i need a ticket to the Halloween party in order to stay in the park and ride the rides after the party has started

Yes. Mickey's Not So Scary Haloween Party (that is the official name of the event) happens on selected nights about a month before Haloween and cotinues until Haloween. it was they call a hard ticket even. meaning that you need a seperate, but less expensive, ticket. after the park has "closed" for regular guests, you will be guided towards the exits. if you have a valid ticket for MNSSHP you will be given a special wrist band that will show that you are allowed to stay. without it, you will not be allowed in any rides and will be asked to leave. they have started to be more "direct" in enforcing these rules.

Yes, you do.  But the Halloween event is at Disney's California Adventure.  The park will promptly close at 5pm or 6pm depending on the day including the Sunshine Plaza to usher out all the guest.  Then, the park reopens at 6:30 or 7:30pm to let all the Not So Scary Halloween guest in.
