Do you need a visa travilling from barbados to amsterdam?

ano that may sound a little complicated. however my best friend and i are going to amsterdam and her sister and brother in law from barbados want to come as they are both coming to britain for a few months on holiday and would like to go while there here however her brother in law doesnt hold a british passport (her sister does) he holds a barbados one does anybody know if he will require a visa?

  1. He won't need one for the UK, since he is a Commonwealth citizen but he will need one for the Netherlands. Once he is issued a visa to visit the Netherlands, it will be valid for all of the Schengen area (most of continental EU) and he may visit these without any problem.
