Do you need additional cooling if you use 3 Geforce Gtx 280 for SLI but not overclocked?

Let's say you're using EVGA nforce 780i and you use 3 Gtx 280 vga cards connected using SLI. All of the cards are not overclocked, do you need to install additional cooling? Or the prepackaged cooling works fine?

It seems installing water cooling for each card would be a lot of hassle since the space is limited if you install all 3 cards.

  1. go for aftermarket fans for GTX 280, at even stock setting it generates lots of heat, seeing some gtx 280 in 3 SLI mode their is spaces between them. if you go for water cooling it is much better since it creates spaces between cards causing some airflow over your stock cooling fans.

  2. Use a case with a lot of space and massive airflow like the Antec 1200:

Don't even monkey with water, you dont need it.

  3. THESE 3 CARDS GENERATE ALOT OF HEAT EVEN WHEN NOT OVER CLOCKED I WOULD RECOMMEND WATWERCOOLING BUT IF THAT IS NOT A OPTION GET AFTERNAERKET COOLERS FOR ALL 3 CARDS AND INSTALL SOME FANS BENEATH THEM SO HEAT DOESNT BUILD UP BETWEEN THEM

    HOPE THIS HELPS
