Do you need an id to fly within the us if you are alone and 15?

I am 15 and have a flight in 2 days, i am flying us airways from oh to ca. I will be without a parent. I don't have a student id card. Will i need an id to fly? What type? Will a library card work? What about a credit card?

  2. If you are flying within the United States, you should be able to fly without an ID, but you should have an ID with you always. As long as your parent or legal guardian has bought you an airline ticket, and accompanies you until they can go no further, then you should be okay to do so.

For anyone who is of age to drive, you must have a legal form of a picture ID to fly on any airline anywhere.  A State ID issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles in the State in which you live is the normal form of ID.  Check with an airline to verify this, maybe a passport would be acceptable.
