  1. As for the visa - you will just need to obtain a Cyprus one.

There is no special documentation, just a regular passport or some ID.

  2. All good advice given so far, and I presume you wish to go from south Cyprus to North Cyprus:

    1. Your friend will definitely need a passport, and if you are from a country that requires a visa to visit Turkey, you'll need one for North Cyprus too.

    2. The border authorities are from the republic of Cyprus and the TRNC, not the UN. The UN just patrol and maintain the UN buffer zone which forms the border. If you do not wish to have your passport stamped by the North Cyprus border control officers, they will stamp a piece of paper instead for you. Just make sure you don't lose it or you won't get back out again!!!

    3. Bring back to south Cyprus only good memories and photos - do not try to take cigarettes, booze and most crucially, any information about purchasing property in North Cyprus back to south Cyprus.

    4. If you are driving from south to North, read the link below on how to do so easily!

  3. Yes you will need a passport if you are a tourist I think an ID card is fine if you are a resident in Cyprus

  4. as far as i know you only need your passport but be aware that you cant bring anything back into southern Cyprus with you especially cigarette's.

  5. Yes, you need a roll of flock wallpaper and a beano annual.

  6. If you should decide to pass from north to south through a U.N. controlled border, then you must prtoduce your passport. You will also be required to fill in a small form as you go through passport control

( i live in Xylofagou, close to Agia Napa, and i passed through the border in Ledras Street, Lefkosia just yesterday!)
