  1. NO...You do not need any experience to become a fisherman..You start off by going to your local bait and tackle store and get a rod and reel than buying ur terminal tackle...Than ask around where there are good fishing spots near by...Than you start to fish and become a fisherman all by yourself...You will learn as you go along.....

Adding more to wat i said...you will have to go to little tournaments to start off...than progress your way up to the big ones.....(but you will have to get sponsored by someone.....Try your local bait and tackle store)....while your doing the tournament and the big sponsors like wat you do than you may have a chance at becoming a professional.....Good luck

  2. i learned by my self and friends try night crawlers first

  3. nah all u need is a rod,,,reel...lots of beer and bait and u should be good

  4. You'll have to be a deckhand first.

  5. weeks and weeks takes a really dedicated and well practiced lot of anglers. your goals might be a bit lofty when the half day boats are where you should get your feet wet and progress to 3/4 day boats and then overnighters and maybe even  weekend excursions to get the (sort of) lay of the land. but what you are suggesting you want to do is getting in behind the wheel of a 747 jet without ever having taken flight lessons in a cesna. Go to the library and read about fishing the waters you want to work and fish in. then learn every knot (you won't get a job on a boat wothout knowing every knot what they are for and how they are used. then try working as a grunt deck hand on half day boats and progress to your goals one step at a time mate

  6. It depends on what fishing you want to do. Small coarse fishing is something you can try to get a hand of what is required.  Big game fishing is something you can try but will be with a experienced  fisherman on a boat and who can show you all you need to know.  Good luck

  7. If you mean a professional fisherman, like on a commercial fishing boat, it would probably be a good idea to contact people in the profession and try to sign on as a deckhand. If you mean to become a sports fisherman like most of us, go to any bait and tackle store and they can provide you the minimum equipment to get started. You might also look into a packaged fishing trip with a guide. A lot of them provide all the equipment you need, and the advice is part of the package. It costs a pretty good bit of money, but your success is almost guaranteed.
