  1. nope you just ask people

  2. nope just need experience

  3. nah... i didnt, i guess it would help like if they choke or w/e (my brother did when i babysat him OMG it was scary) or even cpr but i guess if you want just feed them pudding and soup and watch them while they eat and you will be fine. make sure you have a phone and the neighbors are home

  4. no but it is good to have training because if your baby sitting and there is a baby there and she or he chokes you should know how to give it what ever it is out. it will tell you other thing too. and the baby dies it is your fault.

  5. I don't think it's a legal requirement, but it's certainly a good idea.

Most communities offer such courses through the parks and recreation deparments, YMCA, Red Cross, etc.

It's also a good marketing tool if you are trying to drum up business.  I would think most parents would prefer to hire a sitter with this training as well as good references and some prior experience.

You could get experience by first working as a "mother's helper"--caring for a baby or small child with the mother in the home so she can catch up on housework or pursue other interests, by helping in a church nursery or other group childcare setting as a volunteer, or just with younger siblings or relatives.

  6. Of course not.  Almost every teenager babysits there little siblings or a neighbors or even a family friend.  So i would say no you dont need it. As long as you know what your doing i mean dont kill the baby! lol but yeah have some experience with babys or toddlers hope this helped.
