A lot of people I've spoken to over the years say that they need chili or chili sauce in their food otherwise the food is so boring and bland.

  2. Yeah.. a must have!  Chillies and me... we're like good friends.

on the other hand... in love with chilli's at suria klcc... ;)

  3. depends on what i eat..

for rice i dont really rely on chili sauce..

but its a must for fast food & fried stuff.. if not the taste will be so bland..

  4. No, unless the food sucks.

  5. Yep...i'm a Chilli Maniac....whenever i'm having my local kampung dishes..its must be accompanied with either Chilli paddy, sambal belachan, sambal tempoyak or anything that associated with Chillis in them...Chilli actually enhanced the taste of the food and its also a fact that chillis sort of could help you prevent from getting cancer....

pergh...having 'Masak lemak chilli padi ikan patin dengan tempoyak, kerabu kacang botol and sambal belachan kaw...

    i'm drooling here.....help!

  6. i not a chilli person .cannot tahan. so most of the time i just eat with black soy sauce...(makcik makcik always laugh at me for eating totally no chilli or vegetable soups/noodle)  but i can take sweet chilli depends will just take small scoop.. i seen my friends take sambal like nobody business..btw lada jeruk/chilli padi/sambal belacan/pachri all i never eat.. malu man malu when i see my non-malay friends eating lots of chiili sauce etc...

if western food i like lots of mayonaise/melted cheese weird huh

my mom say i lidah mat saleh celop.. (cant blame me .. its in the blood)hahah

  7. I like chili in my meal. It spices it up and it is much better than salt.

  8. Me being an Indian, am used to it. mostly yes, i need it. but i like chinese chopsuey, too... ha ha

  9. Depends on the meal. I like my rice with chilli padi/kering. Burgers, hot dogs, fish & chips with chilli sauce.

  10. frankly speaking many Malaysians are used to eating spicy food, so food without chili is like food without salt. But i usually take food without chili, once in a while i do take spicy food. I know my maid eats raw chili padi with her rice...ahhhh..hot ! hot!, but she said she is used to it.... medical wise, chili is not good for you as it can cause cancer and also appendix....those with gastric problems should stay away from chili's....

  11. Yes..my favourite is the chilli mix with some ginger sause and sugars. They are especially nice when eating chicken rice and all other kinds of rice.

  12. It comes in sequence for me: My first choice is:

1.chopped chili padi with my fried rice/tuna sandwich or

    2. flaked pepper or

    3. tabasco sauce if there are no chance of me getting any of the above.

But since i travel a lot, i bring my own cilipadi wherever i go.

Edit: I have stopped taking chili sauce. I was stranded in Greece for 11days over the winter and totally cut off from chili sauce. Amazingly when i got home, i find that i no longer like chili sauce.

  13. i dont need it.  But I like pepper.

  14. Depends. At least one of the dishes need to be a bit spicy.

  15. only for meals that require chillies, not all

  16. yeah.i think that all malaysian put chili in their meal. its like a catalyst for us here rite?

other things we mix with our meal: sambal belacan, tempoyak, cencaluk.

feel so empty without them. good when you dont hav appetite.
