Do you need internet access to update your psp firmware is there any other way if you do need it?

  1. You can download the update file from the playstation website and transfer it to your psp's memory card and update that way.


  2. Even if you don't have internet, you probably know someone that does, or can find free access at a a library. Download the firmware onto flash memory and transfer it to the PSP that way.

    FYI, for those folks who travel a lot and want high speed "3G" internet access while on the road for their laptops or their gadgets like an Apple iPhone or iPod Touch, or a Sony PSP/Mylo/PS3, or Nintendo Wii/DS or Nokia 770/800/810 tablet, an Archos 605 WiFi, or even the Chumby... take a look at this article:
