  1. Depends on the quality of whateveryou want to record.

If you just want to record something from the radio or your voice just get an old cassette recorder.

If you are looking to do something more proffesional you should buy a microphone on top of your cassette player. our player will have a place to plugin a microphone

  2. I am not completely sure what you are asking specifically, but hopefully this helps.

It depends on what you want to record and what equipment you have.  If you have a small portable radio that has a cassette tape, then a microphone is one way you can record something.  Also you can record what you are playing from the FM tuner on the same radio.

At home I have a cassette deck connected to my home stereo system.  It allows me to record music played from a CD, the tuner, or anything else connected to the stereo system.

If you could provide more details as to what equipment you have and exactly what you are trying to achieve, I can give you a more complete answer.

  3. First, you will need a cassette recorder, or whatever type of recorder you're looking for.  Then you will need a microphone to pick up whatever "Live" sound source you're trying to record.  Or, or you're recording from something not "live" like a TV, Radio or whatever, you might be able to patch it into the recorder directly for better sound quality using some sort of cable depend on your setup.
