  1. The best thing to do is what I did.  Go on www.youtube.com and look up Rubik's Cube.  The best tutorial I found was by pogobat and he explained the algorithms you need.  The videos are called "How to Solve a Rubik's Cube"  It's a 2-part solution tutorial, but it's a LOT better than spending a lot of money getting a class in it.  (A friend once told me that there is a college course on how to solve a 3x3 cube)  Once you get the hang of the 3x3, pogobat ALSO has a tutorial on the 4x4 cube.

Cubes are relatively inexpensive.  I don't think they're more than $15 ... you can find them on Ebay starting at $0.99 plus shipping.  Hope this helps

  2. It depends on you definition of maths I suppose. Maths is everywhere if you look for it. You wouldn't be able to get out of bed without it. Your brain is always performing subconscious calculations. So back to the Rubik's cube it could theoretically be done without any strategy and just random rotations and checks to see weather you got it right. This however would probably take longer than a typical human lifetime. To do it in a reasonable amount of time requires a strategy. The simplest way is to use algorithms, which is basically a set of moves you can perform which will move one block to where you want it without upsetting the position of the other blocks. These algorithms don't contain numbers as such, they are just a sequence of moves but in my opinion its still maths. I'm not sure what they cost, pretty cheap I should think they've been around so long.

  3. i bought a rubiks cube for $10 canadian dollars and it requires a certain extent of math like calculating what algorithim is required

  4. god some people are dumb.. just search rubik cube pattern on google.. DUH. you dont need math

  5. No, math is not a required thing to solve a Rubik's cube. All you need to flexible fingers and a strategy. A basic Rubrik's cube often sells for around $2 to $3 (at least where I live). I don't really like the new versions because the stickers fall off quite often but you could use tape...

If you get stuck or need a strategy, you could search youtube for some video tutorials for some help.

  6. no

  7. It's between $8 to $20 according to amazon

  8. No, the rubik's cube is about logic and visual spatial skills, not math.  You can buy it at the Dollar stores for a dollar or two.

  9. there's a pattern there.

    it's hard to explain.

but if you get the pattern it would be easier finishing the rubik's.

btw,my cousin was the one who told me the pattern. and it really works! :)

but i don't know if i can still remember the pattern! lol. :)
