  1. Yes!  Take them.  Bipolar is nothing to play around with and your quality of life will improve drastically!


  2. If there is medication you've found which helps it then it is best to take it to avoid problems in the future.

  3. a radical think to do is to be diagnosed!!!a psychiatrist will be able to decide if smone suffers from bipolar disorder..

    then about the medicaments...well not always the best solution to run into strong neuroleptics or antidepressives..they have a lot of side effects that you have to take into serious consideration

I'm not sure there is such a thing as a "minor" case of bipolar disorder, but whatever you want to call it, every case is individual.  Some people may not be good candidates for the medicines or may not respond well to them, and some people may benefit from other kinds of therapy.  It's not quite the same as "needing" medicine for high blood pressure or insulin for diabetes.

    If the symptoms can be controlled by something other than medication, great.  Overall, though, I haven't heard of bipolar being especially responsive to anything else.
