Do you need original birth certificate/ss to enroll for school?

My daughter is going to get enrolled for preschool but would copies be okay or would they need original birth and ss card? I don't want her enrollment to be postponed.

It would be best and safer so you don't have to go through the process again try your best to find the original and use it will be much easier
