i bought a new hd tv and do i need other equipment to hook up to satellite dish?

  2. To get HD you will need a box that can get the HD signals and maybe an upgraded dish.

    Just getting an HD TV will not automatically get you HD Signals.

    For over the air HD local broadcast you will need an antenna.

  3. You Will want an HDMI cable which makes it HD.  Usually most tv's come with it...
