Do you need parents permission to get a job at the age of 17?

I really need to get a job, but I can't get a workers permit or my parents permission for personal matters. I'm seventeen and will be turning eighteen in April. I live in california if that is any help. So do I need my parents permission? What would I need to get a job? Anything helps! Thanks! :-)

depends what kind of job you get, i'm 16 and i live in california and i have a job at a clothing store... from what i know, in california you need your permission to work at 15 but once your 16 you can work.

i dont live in california so i dont know the age to start working but mostly everywhere the age limit is 16 so u wouldnt need a parents permission n u can just go anywhere where the age limit is 16 n apply.
