  1. yes according to the religion of Bukhary,

but according to The Religion of Prophet Ibraheem, and the Book given to Prophet Muhammed ,NO.

Fast,Salat,Hujj,Zakat is for Allah Allmighty, and not for husbands.

the transmitters of hadith, and the source of hadith were all humans..

the source of BEST HAdith is Allah Allmighty Himself,One and ONLY

"God has revealed the best 'Hadith'; " 39:23

the transmitter of The Best Hadith is Powerful Angel Jibraeel.

angels do NOT make mistakes and DO NOT Disobey,

    humans do.

[2:97] Say, "Anyone who opposes Gabriel should know that he has brought down this (Quran) into your heart, in accordance with GOD's will, confirming previous scriptures, and providing guidance and good news for the believers."

[2:98] Anyone who opposes GOD, and His angels, and His messengers, and Gabriel and Michael, should know that GOD opposes the disbelievers.

[2:99] We have sent down to you such clear revelations, and only the wicked will reject them.

[2:100] Is it not a fact that when they make a covenant and pledge to keep it, some of them always disregard it? In fact, most of them do not believe.

[66:6] O you who believe, protect yourselves and your families from the Hellfire whose fuel is people and rocks. Guarding it are stern and powerful angels who never disobey GOD; they do whatever they are commanded to do.

the following is a Profound Verse

[16:2] He sends down the angels with the revelations, carrying His commands, to whomever He chooses from among His servants: "You shall preach that there is no other god beside Me; You shall reverence Me."

Note::  "You Shall Preach La Eelaha EelAllah"

    The Shahadah,The Kalimah

the same Message which Allah Commanded to His Angel to send to Prophet's Including Prophet Muhammed,is UNCHANGED,UN ALTERED and PURE.

now the very bases of our Iman is the same Shahadah,,BUT

see how it is transformmed mischievously, magically into another form of shahadah, when human transmitters are involved, and majority believes that the criteria of transmitting hadith,200 yrs after death of Prophet Muhammed is FOOL PROOF 100 % accurate !!

following is the present day shahadah, and the source of shahadah is none but hurairah, the father of cats and jew convert,

The hadith regarding the Shahadah says: One day Abu Hurairah went to the people and told them that the Messenger had authorized him to go and tell them to recite the Shahadah "ash hadu anlaa ilaha illallhu wa ash hadu anna muhammadar-rasulullah". Another version reads " muhammadan abduhu wa rasuluhu". The first person Abu Hurairah came across to give the Shahadah was Saidina Omar (later the second caliph). When Omar heard it he promptly punched Abu Hurairah in the chest and knocked him to the ground. Then Omar put his foot on Abu Hurairah's neck and asked him how dare he utter such a blasphemy.

Abu Hurairah (who is recorded in the hadith as having received quite a few beatings from Omar during his lifetime) then cried out and named the Messenger as his authority. When again challenged by Saidina Omar, Abu Hurairah pulled out a pair of leather slippers and showed them to Omar. The slippers, he said, were given to him by the Prophet, as proof for what he was saying. Recognizing the prophet's slippers, Omar simmered down. Everyone then happily started reciting the shahadah. This most incredible story is the background to the Shahadah of Abu Hurairah, which has been adopted by millions of Sunnis.

  2. you know what i did read once that in any other month than ramadan a woman should ask her husband if she can fast, in case he wanted to have intercourse with her, to allow him to know before hand, i wish i knew the hadeeth

  3. Of course not. It is very disturbing to me that there are people out there who believe that a woman needs her husband's (or anyone else's) permission to fulfill her religious obligations.

  4. Outside of Ramadan, yes he should be made aware of your intentions.

But that is not the same thing as asking for permission.

  5. In Shia Islam to fast Ramadan no you do not need his permission, i do not know about my Sunni brothers and sisters, i am sure you will get a reply.

    Ramadan Kareem

  6. outside of ramadan, yes. when you arent obligated by Allah to fast, your second obligation is to more or less 'serve' your husband, that means you have to be available for 'u know what' if thats what he wants, and if he tells you that you cant fast, inshaAllah your intention to fast will still be accepted by Allah, but you have to do what he tells you to.

  7. no ofcourse not

  8. FALSE !!

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), who said:

"Allah (mighty and sublime be He) says:

'Fasting is Mine and it is I Who give reward for it. [A man] gives up his sexual passion, his food and his drink for My sake.' Fasting is like a shield, and he who fasts has two joys: a joy when he breaks his fast and a joy when he meets his Lord. The change in the breath of the mouth of him who fasts is better in Allah's estimation than the smell of musk."

[Bukhari (also by Muslim, Malik, at-Tirmidhi, an-Nasa'i and Ibn Majah).]

  9. As others said.   Only outside of Ramadan.

But remember that we get rewarded for our intentions.

  10. NO. This is done for God.. not for your husband.

In fact, your husband has no say in it...

  11. NO , any permission from husband is not needed for fasting during Ramadan ,

Yes , if any married Muslima want to keep fast other than Ramadan , then she should be needing permission from her husband ,

in principle , for FERZ one need no permission , but other than FERZ  wife need husband's permission.

  12. no ..

atleast ..  i dont think so

  13. Only the nifl ones, she has to ask for permission. NOT the ones in Ramadan, these are farz and must be kept by everyone.

  14. thumbs up for bro islam for life..

gave u short , great answer..

    always love and peace..

  15. i have a feeling i read it somewhere too, but no don't think so

  16. erm NO

    false beyond falseness

  17. "A woman should not fast except with her husband's permission." (Abu Hurairah/Bukhary, vol 7 #120 )

Where in the Quran is this order. Where in the Quran does God say that a wife would not be responsible for her own sin if she listens to her husband. The order for fasting in the Quran goes to both men and women.

"Abu Huraira narrated that the Messenger of God said, 'No woman can fast a day of Ramadan, while her husband is there, without his prior permission.' "(9) The Muslim scholars believe that it is "hateful" for a woman to fast of her own accord without the permission of her husband, and that she sins if she fasts without his permission. Al-Nabawi, in his exegesis on Muslim, said that the reason for this prohibition is that the man has the right to enjoy the woman sexually at all times, and that she should obey him at once. She should not abandon him by volunteering to fast or for any other religious obligation.(10)  A saying attributed to the Prophet says: "Any woman who fasts without the permission of her husband, and he desired her for a certain thing but she refused, God will record three major sins against her !!!!

  18. If it is sunnah fasting yes,,,not permission but letting him know you are fasting I guess.

If it is the month of Ramadan, NO.

  19. You dont need the permission of ANYONE for fasting.

As Mohammad K. has rightly pointed out, if you follow the religion of Bukhari, then you may be needing that, and a lot of other miseries. But if you are following the Quran, which Prophet Mohammad followed, then "NO", you don't need the permission of anyone.

  20. a woman don't need her husband's permission for any thing, she is his lover not his slave, to h**l with religions of slavery
