I want to get these: (http://www.performancebike.com/shop/profile.cfm?SKU=23609&subcategory_ID=2110)

Anyways, I have regular bike pedals on my road bike, and my girlfriend (who thinks she knows more abotu bikes than I, even though she doesnt ride) says that you need to have special pedals to attach the show to the pedal. Im pretty sure, she's wrong, but anyone care to make sure?

I hope I worded my question correctly.

  1. 10 points for your girlfriend! You should listen to her. She's smart.

  2. I'm pretty sure your GF is correct and you are wrong. Since I use cycling shoes and the clipless SPD pedals for them.

  3. Uh, look at pedals on that same web site. They will have them for that shoe. By the way, these are only for serious riders. And they must be adjusted properly or you can hurt your feet.

  4. the shoes have a hard carbon or nylon outer soul that is slick and has holes drilled in the bottom to accept various cleats that snap or lock into whatever pedal you are personally running.  your gf is pretty much correct.  the cleat that mounts to the shoes matches whichever pedal you run.  if you currently just have ordinary quill pedals like you would use w/ street shoes, these shoes arent going to work.  they are hard and slick on the bottom, and are designed to work with a cleat of some sort.
