Do you need special Grease to grind?

When you are skateboarding in skate parks do you need special grease to grind the rails? PLEASE ANSWER GOING TOMORROW!!!

  1. It's called wax. And if you don't skate good you won't need. Don't grease it up too much, because I did that and was to slippery on a rail broke my foot. haha.


  2. Metal rails, you don't need grease as long as your trucks arent chewed up at the bottom.

    If you're grinding curbs/walls etc, then you'll want to take along a bunch of candles to wax them up.

  3. all you need is wax. you could just use a candle or if u surf u can use surf board wax but the rails at the skatepark are prob already waxed

    you dont really need em for skatepark rails, unless the edges are rough that you wont be able to grind on em.

    You can also make your own skateboard wax. Just melt a candle (microwave) then mix olive oil w/ it. Then put them in a container and freeze em..  Try to experiment w/ the amount of candle or oil you put in them. cus if you add too much oil, it would become too greasy.
