Do you need the wii racing wheel in order to play the mario kart racing game?

You do not need the wheel. It just adds to the game. You can use the wii controlers. If you had a wheel, the wii controler fits in the middle of the wheel. Without the wheel, you hold your controler sideways and move it like you would if you had it in a wheel. You can get mario kart in a box with a wheel.

no. you can use just a wiimote or wiimote with nunchuk classic controller, or gamecube controller. MKW comes with a wii wheel

The wheel works exactly the same way as the wiimote alone. The wheel is just a shell or a grip if you would like to call it that. You can also use a gamecube controller or use the wiimote and nunchuck combination. The wii cannot use playstation 2 controllers because that is for a sony systems. You probably meant the gamecube controllers though.

Nope you dont need it to play!! Some people like it because it makes the game feel more realistic, but it all depends it you wanna use it or not,

If you have any gamecube controllers you can use those, their pretty cheap about 15 bucks at your local game store.

You can use the PS2 controller if you have a ps2 controller adapter, but those cost about 15 bucks, heres a link to one
