  1. You don't have to be certified to massage me, but  don't  rub me the wrong way. lol  

    BTW I am in Ohio. My son and my sister are both massage therapists and they do have their certificates.  In order to be legal, yes.  Same as with a hair dresser.  They have to pass a board exam.

Ohio is the only state in which massage therapy is considered a limited branch of medicine.  The Medical Board licenses massage therapists and regulates massage therapy schools and practitioners through its standing committee on the Limited Branches and Alternative Medicine with  the assistance of the Massage Therapy Advisory Committee.

    So yes.  You have to have the proper training and licensing.
